Born to a Punjabi family, at Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh, Arjun Rampal studied with his sister in Kodaikanal International School situated in Tamil Nadu. His mother was a teacher and Kim Sharma is his cousin. His debut Pyar Ishk Aur Mohabbat has been under scanner of critics but proved as a milestone in B-town for Arjun.  This flick fetched him many awards like Best Male Debut, IIFA award for the star debut of the year and screen award for most promising new comer.

His next film Moksha was going to be his debut but due to releasing dates Pyar Ishk Aur Mohabbat became the debut. He also worked in Deewanapan, Aankhein and Dil Hai Tumhara etc. His performance was praised in Don-The chase begins which is the remake of old Don. He got kudos and award after his negative role performance in Om Shanti Om.

Arjun got wedded with former Miss India super model, Mehr Jasia and they are blessed with 2 daughters named Maahika (2002) and Myra (2005).
