Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush, makes an unconventional pair as they gear up for their first film together, titled Raanjhana, which is also the Kolaveri Di star’s debut Bollywood film.

Tanu weds Manu fame, Anand Rai, is now all set with an epic love story against the backdrop of Varanasi and Mathura in Uttar Pradesh where Dhanush will be seen playing the lead as a schoolboy.

We learnt that the otherwise scrawny actor has had to shed weight to look like a skinny teenager growing up in Varanasi and is also taking lessons in English diction. Well, it is no less than a surprise that an average-looking actor from the South will be paired up with the style diva of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor.

The Kapoor gal will be seen playing a small town girl with big dreams in this romantic saga. The story of Raanjhana revolves around a young Sonam who completes her schooling and finds her wings in the politically charged atmosphere of the university. Meanwhile, earlier also Sonam played a small-town girl in Delhi 6, opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

For the preparations of her role in Raanjhana, Sonam has been attending acting workshops conducted by well-known Delhi theatre person Arvind Gaur.
