So, it is not going ugly anywhere, as it was predicted earlier, but still it will put an end to the marital life of the most good looking couple. Buzz has it that lawyers from both sides chalked out a settlement on Monday following marathon negotiations over the weekend.

As per the deal, Katie Holmes, 33, will get the custody of the duo’s 6-year-old daughter Suri, but Tom Cruise, 50, will have significant visitation rights and will be a full part of the child's life. “The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life,” Katie Holmes' lawyer, Jonathan Wolfe said in a statement.

The joint statement of the former couple read: “We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests. We want to keep matters affecting our family private, and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs, and support each other's roles as parents”.
