The pair of Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif was called as Gem of Indian cricket team! In the past their partnership has often helped the team come out of the woods!

Also their unforgettable 121-run partnership during NatWest Trophy final against England in 2002 helped the visitors in registering an incredible win. It is known that the two are more like best of friends and there was a time when they were inseparable!

But geographical distances occurred soon after the entry of Greg Chappal as Indian coach, the latter found no place for Kaif in the side and soon he had to bid his informal good bye. Though Yuvi and Kaif were still good friends but not always in touch like before. Now it is circulated everywhere that Yuvraj is suffering from cancer and the news reached in Kaif’s ears too!

At first the Uttar Pradesh batsman couldn’t believe it was true and was left heartbroken. But later, when he learnt that the disease is curable, he immediately texted him wishing speedy recovery.

"Yuvi is a strong character and never gives up in crisis. I know Yuvi very well. Though he looks aggressive on the field, he is a soft person off it. He always stands by his friends and family," Kaif, who was Yuvraj's teammate in Kings XI Punjab, said.

Well, friend in need is a friend indeed, it’s great that you are standing with Yuvi in his tough times Kaif!
