The audience is eyeing on Sonam Kapoor’s most touted upcoming Raanjhana wherein she is going to share the screen space with Tamil star Dhanush. The flick is directed by Anand L. Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma, who previously worked on the highly successful 2011 film, Tanu Weds Manu.
To trap the attention of the audience the makers of Raanjhana have revealed her first look. The style queen of the Bollywood town is dressed in formal attire and is looking like the perfect JNU student (her role in the movie). A little birdie from the town says that to fit into the skin of character well, Sonam went through a lot of training.
As she is playing a student of Delhi University in the flick so to justify her role and to gain the confidence the dedicated actress participated in street plays. Sonam is brought up in a filmy family so it was a challenge for her to essay a small town girl student studying in a Delhi University.
The lady wanted to look absolutely convincing, on being quizzed, the actress revealed, “Playing a student was a completely new area for me. It was a challenge to mould myself to the sensibilities of a small-town girl. I wanted to be well prepared for Raanjhana and participating in street plays was one way of doing so”.
