As he seems to be ashamed of his fling with Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart, Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders is desperate to save his marriage with wife Liberty Ross.

It is learnt that the two have not seen each other since the day Sanders’ cheating came out and Liberty wants to remain away from her husband for a time-being. "Liberty is not making this easy for Rupert, not surprisingly. She is refusing to see him right now and has not spoken to him about if they have a future together or not," said a source.

"Rupert is willing to do absolutely anything and everything he can to save his marriage, he realises this is the worst mistake of his life, and he cannot believe he was so stupid," added the source.

The 41-year-old director has two children Skyla, seven, and five-year-old Tennyson, with Ross. "The thought of losing his wife and children, who he loves more than anything in the world is killing him. Liberty has told Rupert she just doesn't think she will be able to trust him again. Rupert is just hoping it will blow over soon and he can win her back, but that is looking ever increasingly unlikely," said the source.
