Controversial queen Veena Malik was recently hitting headlines for her TV shows based on holy subject to be aired in her native country Pakistan. It was said that she would be seen hosting a religious show.

This caused much aggression among the masses over there and the revolt against the show got up to the extent that the channel, which was going to pilot the show, has ended up with the canceling the show.

The channel Hero TV has decided to cancel a special show prepared for the holy month of Ramadan following a public outcry. However, the promos for Malik's new TV show, which featured her trying to look her religious best, had already gone viral on the internet in which Malik repenting her sins sparked the protest among the entire nation.

"Hero TV is for the awaam. If the awaam does not want to see Veena Malik on this Ramadan show, then we will cancel it," said a member of the production team, adding that they respect the wishes of the populace.

Taking the help from social networking sites, people expressed their annoyance over the show, they been raising their voices saying the lady is not having that competence and is a misfit to host a show which speaks about their holy god and religion. "The Pakistan electronic media regulatory authority (Pemra) has received Internet petitions calling for the show to be cancelled," a Pakistan electronic media regulatory authority (Pemra) official said.
