“Inspector, mujhe jane do nahi to main ise goli maar dunga,” “Kitney Aadmi the”, What! Were you able to recall anything after reading these lines? Hey! Come on I’m waiting, what! come again, did I hear a yes from your end. Ok…it’s quite apparent; no Indian audience can ever forget these lines which were mostly linked with the bad men of our Hindi movies. Our movies are never complete without a Villain and his brutal acts. There have been a number of movies where we have witnessed the cruelty of these villains, but here I would make you recall the top 5 villains who are simply incredible.

1. Amjad Khan in Sholay
If we talk of Jai, Veeru and Thakur how can we forget Gabbar? Amjad Khan who portrayed the character of the cruel and wild dacoit is still remembered because of his role as Gabbar. He got several dialogues to his credit in the movie, but the most important was his laughter and a signature motion of spitting. Industry has still not witnessed another Gabbar and seems it won’t ever have anyone to replace him.

2. Amrish Puri in Mr. India
Every time we think of this actor the first thing that clicks in our mind is the famous dialogue from the veteran villain Mogambo Khush Hua. The character of Mogambo portrayed by him in the movie Mr. India became an inseparable part of the movie. Mr. India has no existence without Mogambo, his large dens, slithering doors, acid tanks and the whole area which was his hiding place still make us feel the thrill and adventure.

3. Kulbhushan Kharbanda in Shaan
Remember the bald man, with a shark as his pet. He was the first High Tech villain of Hindi Cinema. He was seen using gadgets, comfortable arm-wresting chair, and a control room full of colorful buttons. Yes…I’m talking about Shaakaal, in the movie Shaan. Kulbhushan Kharbanda managed to outshine all other actors like Amitabh, Shashi Kapoor and Shatrughan in that movie.

4. Anupam Kher in Karma
Ha! Who can forget the terror of Dr. Dang in the movie Karma? Anupam Kher made the audience sit with their jaws open with his evil tactics and the negative vibes of his eyes. The dialogue Thappad Ki Goonj still receives applause from all.
 
5. Saif Ali Khan in Omkara
If you think only the elder generation has played the negative tacts then you must have not seen our Langda Tyagi. Yes, the role portrayed by Saif Ali Khan in Omkara made him earn the title of one of the finest actors of tinsel town. His role as the typical pastoral, rural dacoit and his use of foul words made his performance simply incredible.

This is what we call, fun with terror. Hope we get to see some more villains from the young crowd.
