One of the popular actors from the young brigade ruling small screen, Star One’s Miley Jab Hum Tum fame, Mohit Sehgal, has finally called it a day for his Star Plus’ daily Khamoshiyan.

Earlier also there were talks of Mohit pondering over quitting the show as his character was highly butchered citing creative changes. It is notable that the show featuring newbie Mrunal Thakur as lead Gauri and Mohit was launched amidst great pomp and show. It was touted to be the big project for Star; however, it failed to fulfill the expectations.

Owing to the poor ratings and repeated warnings from the channel, the creative team had made certain changes in the script post which Manit Joura was brought as the central lead thereby sidelining Mohit. In between, Mohit was even in news for the payment issues he had with the production house. It was reported that he wasn’t paid his due payment.  

And it seems all the problems compelled him to put his papers down. Says Mohit, "I am quitting the show and I have already put in my papers. I can't reveal the reason about my decision but all I can say at this point is that I am leaving the show."

Mohit has taken a few days off from shooting as he is suffering from either Malaria or Dengue and is waiting for his medical reports. "I am extremely unwell so currently am not shooting for Khamoshiyan."

Speaking about his last day of shooting, the actor says, "As I had put down my papers on Sunday the Production house could not get back to me and I am still waiting for their response on my notice."

Let us see what happens to the show now that’s already on the verge of sinking!
