For the premiere of his film Gangs of Wasseypur at Cannes Film Festival, when Nawazuddin Siddiqui approached various renowned designers to design a tux for him, they all declined him saying, they are busy designing for other prominent B-town celebs.
Well, that was the time, when Nawaz was little renowned, however the case is different now. After giving terrific performances in films such as Kahaani, Paan Singh Tomar and most-recently Gangs of Wasseypur, he is now counted among the league of brilliant actors, Manoj Bajpayee for instance.
He is no short of offers today and most recently filmmaker Ketan Mehta has roped him to act in his upcoming film Mountain Man, a biopic on a Bihar-based laborer Dashrath Manjhi, who did the herculean task of cutting a road through a mountain.
"Yes, I have chosen him for the film. He is a great actor and I feel that he suits the role really well. This is why I went for Nawazuddin," said Mehta. The movie will be shot in Bihar and the director said: "We are still finalizing the last schedule at the moment. Once that is done, we will start shooting. The shooting will be held on location in Bihar."
