Of late, we informed you about Katie Holmes participating in New York Fashion Week as a designer, which is going to be her debut show. Well, the latest on the front is that Katie, who recently divorced Tom Cruise, is anxious about going head-to-head with fellow designer Victoria Beckham.

The 33-year-old actress will be showcasing the latest collection from her label Holmes and Yang at the prestigious fashion event for the first time in September.

"It's no secret that Victoria's career has been more successful than Katie's and there's more than an air of rivalry between the two. There seems to be a lot of tension between the two labels right now. Katie is feeling insecure and doubts her efforts to do well," the source said.

Grapevine is abuzz that the relationship Holmes and Beckham, who had become friends in 2006, attending Paris Fashion Week together, turned sour because of their fierce fashion rivalry. Katie and her business partner Jeanne Yang have reportedly chosen to show their sartorial offering at the famous NYFW tents at the prestigious Lincoln Centre.

"This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny. They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business," an insider said.
