Post the great success which came the way of Karan Johar’s Agneepath, the film has been bagging attention from one and all from the film fraternity.
As said, the film by Karan itself stands to be the remake of 1990 cult by the same name starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. Though the film was well received by the critics then but it had failed miserably at box office. Late Yash Johar, Karan’s dad, who happened to be the helmer of Agneepath, was completely heart broken with the film’s result.
And it was due to his wish that Karan came up with the remake. Thankfully, the new Agneepath not only stood successful in terms of minting moolah but also bagged applause for its excellent conceptualization. Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor’s flawless performances in the film made it more of a desirable asset. So there was no surprise when we came to know of the filmmakers down south drooling over its remake rights.
Though Karan was poured with various offers but buzz has it that he hasn’t finalized any yet. Further, if sources close to the man are to be believed then people in south will have to wait long to get hold of the film as Karan won’t give it to anyone so easily. The source said, “It`s a very dear movie to Karan. He`s going to think ten times before giving away any remake rights. And even if he does sell the rights, he may want to be part of the making and involved in some integral way. Karan may be a good businessman, but he is extremely emotional and sentimental”.
We admire your emotions Karan and even we don’t want you to give away the golden pot without some detailed thinking!
