Kalki Koechlin, the actress known for her unconventional performances, created an impression in the Bollywood town with her bold performance in Dev D and Shaitan. The actress is a writer as well and she has written That Girl In Yellow Boots with her hubby Anurag Kashyap. Kalki possess good sense of writing, she feels that Bollywood’s story writing pattern should be changed. Kalki adds “ I find that a lot of times what’s wrong with commercial cinema it is not the subject, but how when people making an action end up putting gyaan in it. It’s not going to work.”

The actress is not satisfied with the story writing process, she holds a view that morals and entertainment can’t be merged together.  She finds a lot of writers in dilemma as they put light and serious subject altogether in order to get praises. Kalki supports bold portrayal of women on the screen whose glimpse can be seen in her very first movie Dev D wherein she becomes a victim of MMS scandal.

Well, the best part is she likes the stories of a few Bollywood movies. Kalki loves watching Dabangg she says it is one of her favorites because it is simply an entertainment. She is fond of Imtiaz Ali as well, though his creations are pure commercial but there is some realism where characters are related to day to day life.

So guys don’t get surprised if she comes out as a director or opens a film institute teaching unconventional story patterns!
