Day after BCCI president N Srinivasan’s offer that he is open to have a dialogue with Sahara regarding their sponsorship to Indian cricket team and IPL, Subrata Roy, the chairman of the Sahara Group, told he is also open to talks and said he is still committed to cricket - no matter what.
"I have a big responsibility to field the side and I don't want to see our Pune Warriors players not playing this year's IPL. I don't want the players to suffer. A lot of them get good exposure by playing in IPL. This tournament is important to them," Roy told the sources on Monday.
It is known that Sahara has been in relation with BCCI for last 11 years and only few days ago, Sahara called off their ties with the board citing various disagreements due to IPL. It is known that Sahara owns Pune Warriors team in IPL.
Talking further about Pune Warriors he said, “Everyone in the team is excited about playing and I have left it to skipper Sourav Ganguly, who is also the mentor of the side and the rest of the support staff to decide what could be the best possible combination”.
Well, this must really be great news for both the parties and we hope they could meet the peace!
