After the Test debacle in Australia, Men in Blue are struggling in the limited over games too! The team has already lost the first T-20 match against Australia and now the judgment of T-20 series will depend on India’s performance in the second match today!
If ask former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin for his piece of advice he says the team needs players who can perform well.
Azhar feels that though the seniors have a good reputation but the time has come for youngsters to be given a chance. “Even after the team lost the third Test match, young players were not given that chance. Ultimately, it is the Board who has to decide on such things.”
On the further note Azhar believes that Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni undoubtedly has been a good captain but finds his performance in Test matches not up to the mark. “He has been good but it is also a fact that his performance in the Test series against Australia was disappointing. Let BCCI decide on the matter. I personally feel there should be separate captains for each form of cricket.”
Meanwhile on the future captains, Dhoni feels that Virender Sehwag or Virat Kohli could lead the side well! So, are the BCCI’s top honchos listening?
