Cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has joined the Indian cricket team for Test matches, filling the place emptied by Rahul Dravid after his retirement. And we must say that he fulfilled his responsibilities quite well. The Rajkot lad struck an unbeaten maiden ton on Thursday in the first Test against New Zealand.

And hence, it led to fuel comparisons with the legendary Rahul Dravid, who retired from international cricket a couple of months ago.

The 24-year-old Pujara, who is playing his fourth Test, held the innings together after the Kiwis threatened to derail the Indian innings. It's a role which Dravid had played with ease and success over the last 16 years. But Pujara feels it is unfair to compare him with Dravid.

"I don't think I can replace Rahul. It is impossible to do so. I just wanted to play my own game. It's a privilege to be playing in his position," he said after the day's play. "Obviously it is a great feeling. It is a dream to score a century in Tests," he said about his century.

"I knew that I was going to bat at No. 3 position. I have the experience of playing at this position as I have done it several times in domestic cricket. It is not a new thing for me," he said when questioned if he was under pressure.
