After the first look of the upcoming movie of Shirish Kunder, Joker, was out, we got a hint of the movie being somewhat similar to that of Aamir Khan’s Lagaan. The movie featuring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles has eleven people playing lead role in the movie.

Pitobash Tripathy also plays an important role in the movie. When he was asked about the movie having any similarity with Lagaan he said, “No Joker and Lagaan are not similar projects. The only thing that could have led to this question being asked may be due to the fact that just like in Lagaan, there are eleven principal/main characters in Joker, with all of them essaying important roles. And the set up is rural as well. However, the similarities end right there. In fact, quite contrary to the belief that Joker is a comedy film, it is actually a sci-fi fantasy film, with an alien angle thrown in!”

The movie is slated for a release on the August 31. Let’s see how well this village sci does -fi movie does at the box office. Well, we see a bright future of the movie because of the alien factor.
