Buzz says that charming actor Imran Khan has been paid Rs 11 crore for the sequel of Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai. It has been told already that Imran is playing the role of a young don in the film, which also features Akshay Kumar as other lead.
Now if that’s true, it’s time for the Khan kid to celebrate as he gets inducted into Bollywood’s fat paycheck club. It seems that Imran Khan finally realised that it’s time for him to rake in the moolah, just like his contemporary Ranbir Kapoor is doing.
Ranbir increased his price right after Rockstar and apparently demands nothing less than Rs 25 crore these days. After the success of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Delhi Belly and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, the directors seems to have realized that Imran is a bankable star and paying him such a gigantic amount doesn’t matter much now.
And even though he may not be a great actor, we are sure his movies are churning out a decent amount of profit or else he wouldn’t be working with directors like Milan Luthria and Vishal Bhardwaj today.
As Imran climbs the ladder slowly and steadily, we suggest he tries to seek inspiration from mamu jaan Aamir Khan’s thespian skills. After all, it’s his performances that will decide if actors like him are a dime a dozen or not, and not his bank balance!
