Ileana D’Cruz is highly impressed with co-star Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in their upcoming film, Barfi, directed by Anurag Basu.

As the film also has Priyanka Chopra in the frame, Ileana is not worried about getting overshadowed. Stating the reason behind, she said, “I did this film because I have complete faith in Anurag Basu and the way in which he represents his characters. If I was insecure about my role, I wouldn’t have done it. I’m confident of making a mark. I was nervous initially; as it is very different from the films I’ve done in the past.”

The lady is quite famous for her glamorous roles down south, when asked if she will focus on a similar career path in Hindi films too, Ileana said, “Being a glam girl in Hindi films is not my goal. I want acting-oriented roles. I want people to take me seriously as an actor. Skin show is overrated anyway, and the same goes for intimate scenes. They might get attention, but not for the right reasons”.

When probed about RK and his Casanova image, and the fact is she was scared about getting linked with him like all his past co-stars, she said, “Absolutely not. Men don’t scare me. I have an intimidating dad, so nothing comes close to him. Link-ups may keep you in the news, but they can work against you too. I’m glad I haven’t been linked to Ranbir. He is a nice person and a brilliant co-star. I was blown away while watching him perform.”
