Yesterday was a big day for Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Ishkq in Paris, as she was present at a lavish party that was hosted by the French Ambassador to welcome French actress Isabelle Adjani at Mumbai's plush hotel.

The two-time Oscar nominated Isabelle is playing a crucial role in Preity’s film that is shot in France and the former flied down to Mumbai to shoot her part for the film. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and many other celebs were spotted at the bash and Preity was glad to see them all, especially Big B, who dropped particularly to lend support to Preity.

Big B wrote on his blog, ''Preity Zinta produces and acts in a film which also has in its cast the beautiful Isabelle Adjani from France. Isabelle is in town for its shoot and Preity invites us for a party at the Sofitel Hotel, hosted by the French Ambassador, to meet the lovely lady. It's a quiet dignified evening, and because I am fond of Preity, I go along for precisely 10 minutes, to wish her and her guest.''

Tweets Preity on the social networking site, ''Had a party 4 Ishkq in Paris Last night! Was wonderful 2 see everyone there & almost felt Surreal when I saw Amitji Standing in front of me. I don't think there ever was or will be a personality like Amitabh Bachchan in our Film Industry & I am lucky 2 be born during his time!''
