This definitely can be counted as one of his most candid interviews ever, as he shared how he fought a lonely but determined battle against fitness and confidence issues in an industry that puts a premium on looking good. He said in the interview, "The two magic words that I give are 'initiative' and 'consistency,' The only time you can take the step towards change is now. Even if they're baby steps, start today! And consistency is important because you must make time every day to work on achieving your goals. Even if there is little you can do, do it!"

Hrithik also revealed in the interview that the happiness and accomplishments that he is relishing on now is derived from the dark spaces he had to travel to. He stated, "All the good that has happened in my life has been inversely proportionate to the dark, depressed spaces I've been in. If it hadn't been for the fears, the tears, the mind-numbing sensation of hitting rock bottom, greatness would never have been discovered by anyone!"
