Television actors getting to taste the waters in Bollywood has become more of a trend these days and the latest one to follow the path to films is Gautam Gulati, who is popularly known as Vikram from Star Plus' popular TV show Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Sources say that Gautam has bagged a role in a movie. Talking more about the film he has signed, Gautam said, "Yes, I have signed a movie and I have already started shooting for it. The movie has been titled as Siddhartha – The Buddha and the movie will be based on the life of Buddha. The movie will be in two languages i.e. English and Sri Lankan language and it will be released in the SAARC countries.

The movie is being directed by the well known director Chandran Ratnam. I will be playing the main negative lead in the movie. Apart from this, I am doing two more international movies."
