All those who by now have come to get a glimpse of Ekta Kapoor’s rib tickling forthcoming Kya Super Kool Hain Hum, must have sensed that the film pokes fun at all.
Right from Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam to Shahrukh Khan’s Devdas, from Nargis Fakhri to Diana Penty, the film hasn’t left anyone from making a fun at. And guess what, producer Ekta admits of the film making fun of all but also maintains that the jokes are not cheap.
She said, "I don't know about success of the film... it is the most politically incorrect film. There are jokes on everybody including me but nothing is cheap. I would say the film is India's answer to American Pie”.
Ekta went on adding, "It is an adult comedy, we had a Delhi Belly last year. It shows that India has got a sense of humor. At no point the film will go down and take a cheap and dirty route. It is for youngsters and those who loved the first part”. Now that she has made such a film, which openly boasts off the adult comedy; ask her if the culture of the industry has changed and she says, "There is no culture of film industry. Whatever is the culture of the country, it is reflected by the film industry. Language does not define culture. Every film represents an audience and accordingly the filmmaker makes it for that set of people."
Getting released on July 27, KSKHH brings together Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh after seven years. On this Ekta adds, "It took us seven years to get the guts back to make the sequel. We have done it, we don't care about anything. If you think I am shameless then Sachin (director) is more shameless than me”.
Hope the film doesn’t make others experience the shame that you all have missed!
