Yes, you heard it right folks, Farhan Akhtar’s debut directorial Dil Chahta Hai, is all set to be back on the big screen soon. And before you reach on any conclusion, we must clear that the producers are not planning to re-release the film.  It’s just that the Aamir Khan-Saif Ali Khan-Akshaye Khanna starrer forms a crucial part of a scene in Chal Pichchur Banate Hain.

It is shown that the lead character, Suraj Kumar (Rahil Tandon), has a dream to pursue his career in films. He is a hardcore fan of Aamir, who does not miss any of his movies, making it a point to watch them first day first show and even gives up a high profile job offer in the UK to pursue a career in films.

One particular scene features Suraj taking his childhood sweetheart Melrena (Bhavna Ruparel) to watch Dil Chahta Hai. For the particular sequence, the producers needed permission from DCH producer Ritesh Sidhwani to use the clips of the cult friendship flick in Chal Pichchur Banate Hain.

They approached Farhan and Ritesh who promptly agreed. In fact, the producer duo was highly cooperative and even squeezed out time to watch a few portions of Chal Pichchur Banate Hain. Confirming the same, producer Madanlal Jain said, "The clips of DCH, used in the film, make an important part of the plot and I am thankful to Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for promptly granting us permission to do so."
