Cold war and box office race is not new in the Bollywood town. Like business, celebs do face stiff competition from their competitors; it creates a pressure on them to top the race. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is undergoing the same pressure.
It is known to everyone that Khiladi Kumar’s contemporaries are Khans. Even though his recent flicks Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2 have done a stupendous business by touching the mark of 100 crore at the box office but the actor isn't at peace yet. Akshay holds a view that Aamir Khan’s Ghajini created a benchmark by touching the mark of 100 crore for the very first time and post that his 3 Idiots repeated the success story. As per the industry sources though his movies are doing good business but he still feels pressurized.
On being quizzed, Akshay revealed to sources, “The monkey is not off his back as one needs to live up to people's expectations everyday in this industry”. He further added, “Forget the monkey, I feel like I have been carrying King Kong on my back ever since the release of that first film (Ghajini) which smashed the 100 crore mark a few years back. Aamir has set some high standards. I was aware of the numbers being accumulated by my peers”.
