After giving box-office a tremendous hit in the form of Singham, Ajay Devgn landed with a major dud with the highly talked about Tezz. Being an action drama, all expected Tezz to do wonders at box-office but despite all the needed ingredients, Tezz failed to impress the movie buffs.
However, Ajay is certainly not disappointed as he is very well acquainted to the working of Bollywood. As for now the actor has pinned up all his hopes with Bol Bachchan, a comedy drama directed by best buddy Rohit Shetty. Other than Ajay, the film alleged to be inspired from Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Gol Maal, also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai in lead roles.
When asked if he feels insecure about the title quintessentially being that of some other person, Ajay said, “None at all; once you see the film you'll understand what I mean. The characters are very well defined and everyone has their place. Bol Bachchan is apt since it is about this one guy who is trying to con everyone and he keeps giving these bol bachchans. That's where it comes from. As part of the movie's team, when we were discussing the name, I agreed that it was perfect”.
Moreover, Ajay even shared his notion on why he doesn’t celebrate the success of his films the way other producers do. The Singham star opines, “I've never done that. Those bashes are more for other people. A lot of bashes are held even when a film has flopped. These are just for effect. I've heard people stand in these parties with a drink in their hand and say, 'Yaar mera toh paisa toota hai' , and yet they are celebrating”.
Quite a valid point Ajay and it’s good to see you don’t follow trends blindly!
