Recently we wrote about the wonderful news of television’s dandy dude Eijaz Khan coming in one of Star Plus’ short film Teri Meri Love Stories to be produced by Neeraj Sachdeva’s Shontara Productions.

Now latest we have is that Endemol India is making its comeback on television with producing a short film for Star Plus. The actor to be seen in the lead is said to be Abhay Vakil, who was seen in popular television shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Palkhi, Salaam Zindagi, and Teen Bahuraniyan.

The talented actor was last seen in Teen Bahuraniyan and was busy with his family business which provides students with visa and immigration to study abroad (Arun Vakil Consultants). According to the source, Endemol will be making a telefilm which will be the story of contemporary Devdas. Abhay Vakil has been roped in to play the title role while the female leads have not been finalized yet. Jayant Das will be playing the role of Abhay’s father here.

Abhay confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I will be playing the lead in the telefilm. It’s a nice subject and that is what enticed me to take up this role.” The shoot for the telefilm will commence soon in Kolkata.
