Born in Rawalpindi to Major Mohammad Ali Malik, Veena, also known as Zahida belongs to a conservative Pakistani family. Veena always dreamt to work in films and her grandmother backed her up. Her first hit Tere Pyar Mein followed by many movies and comedy shows like Sassi Punno, Prime Gupshup (Tv Show), Hum sab Umeed Se Hain (TV Show), Koi Tujh Sa kaha, Kabhi Pyar Na Karna and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya.
She has also contributed to an Indo-Pak cross venture Punjabi film Pind Di Kuri which costed around 70 million rupees but failed to touch hearts of audience. She bagged Lux Style Awards for being the most stylish celebrity on red carpet in 2007. After earning fame from Big Boss season 4-an Indian reality show, she gained ground in Indian television; she managed to get Big Toss which was a Cricket reality show where she played against Rakhi Sawant and her team. Posing nude for FHM magazine Indian edition brought her under the controversial scanner.
Veena is recently in Karachi and her upcoming projects include Daal Me Kuch Kala He, Zindagi 50-50, Mr.Money, Mumbai 125 Km, All You Need…Love.
