Preeti Desai is the daughter of Jitendra and Hemlata who have a pyrotechnics company called G2 Fireworks. Her younger sister Anjlee is a singer/songwriter. She attended St Augustine Roman Catholic primary school. After leaving school she did a three-year course in hair and beauty therapy at Middlesbrough College.
After graduating as a fully qualified beauty therapist, Desai worked in and managed asalon for a number of years. In 2006 she was elected as the Miss Great Britain and has been on the covers of Cosmopolitan, L’Officiel, Grazia and G2.
She started her career with the movie “Shor in The City” which did quite well at the box office. She is in a relationship with the actor Abhay Deol, and is planning to get married soon.
