Michael Hussey is an Australian cricketer, a left-handed specialist batsman. Among his team mates he is famous Mr. Cricket. He debuted in the international cricket at the late age of 28 after scoring 15,313 first-class runs before making his Test debut.

However these things never affected his successful career in the game and in the year 2006 he was top-ranked ODI batsman in the world. He plays first-class cricket as vice-captain of the Western Warriors in Australia and has played for three counties in England.

Hussey also plays in IPL for Chennai Super Kings though he opted out of the 2009 season. But in 2011-2012 season of Indian Premier League he was retained by Chennai Super Kings for $425,000 at auctions held in January 2011.
