Star daughter of Randhir and Babita Kapoor and elder sister of Kareena Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor carry the tag of Kapoor Khandan with her and the popularity followed since birth to her. She began acting at the very tender age of 17 with her debut Prem Quaidi. She won her first Filmfare award with Raja Hindustani. She, then graced every filmfare and grabbed awards everytime for her acting talent for Dil To Pagal Hai, Fiza and Zubeida and never looked back.
Karishma is really charismatic and has a strong filmy family tree; granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, great-granddaughter of actor Prithviraj Kapoor, grand-niece of actors Shashi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor, sister of actress Kareena Kapoor, niece of actors Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor, and first-cousin of actor Ranbir Kapoor, Karishma had acting running in her blood.
Kapoor studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai until grade six. She was seen best paired with Govinda and seemed perfect with every co-actor she worked with.
