Graduate from Kirodi Mal College, Delhi University, Kabir Khan began his cinematographer for the documentary Beyond the Himalayas which was directed by Gautam Ghosh and was later broadcasted on Discovery channel. His first directional documentary was The Forgotten Army which was based on Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian national army. Khan is married to TV actress Mini Mathur and the duo is blessed with a son named Vivaan and daughter named Sairah.
He followed the trend of making documentaries and made two more before he entered into Bollywood namely The Taliban Years and Beyond and The Titanic Sinks in Kabul.
Kabir later gave a shot to Bollywood by directing two flicks to name Kabul Express and New York and succeeded in making a mark into tinsel town.
