Jeetendra was born as Ravi Kapoor in Amritsar to Amarnath and Krishna Kapoor. He was about to get married to Hema Malini but she backed out and is now happily married to his childhood love Shobha Kapoor. Their son is Tusshar Kapoor, who is also following Jeetendra’s footsteps, and daughter Ekta Kapoor who owns Balaji Telefilms.
Jeetendra gave a kick start to his career in bollywood in the 1950’s with “Navrang”. He has done many movies since then and the actor has also been honored with many lifetime achievement awards.
