Jackie Shroff is one of the popular names in the film industry of his times. It has been 28 years now since he is in the industry and the actor has also worked in more than 150 films. He was born in Gujarat but later moved to Mumbai.
The first appearance of Shroff on screen was as a cameo in a villain’s role in Dev Anand starrer “Heera Panna”. He marked his start in 1973. He got the lead role in 1983 in Subhash Ghai’s “Hero” which was a big hit at that time and the actor earned huge success with it.
He has been nominated and has won many Filmfare awards and was also honored with Special Honor Jury Award in 2007.
